Zoom Uphill is an electric all-terrain wheelchair also suitable for recreational use. Zoom Uphill is CE-marked class I medical device according to MDR:2017/745C. It has a permanent symmetrical 4-wheel drive designed for use in rough terrain. The patented frame design ensures that all four wheels stay in contact with the ground regardless of the type of surface. This provides continuous 4-wheel drive performance under all conditions. As the Zoom chair is only 108 kg you can roll it around by hand and two people can lift it into a SUV, pick-up truck or small trailer but we recommend using the aluminum ramps we offer.
Zoom Uphill has a maximum speed of 20 kph, but can be geared down to a maximum speed of 10 kph or 5 kph, and is suitable for use off-road, where one generally can walk without climbing. The reverse gear makes it possible to drive 5 kmh. Helmet on is recommended for safe use. Driving in sand, snow, mud, slopes or up sidewalks is a pure pleasure. You drive a Zoom Uphill sitting down, using arms and hands only which makes it a safe, but extraordinary driving experience.

Yes, Zoomability AB who is the company that has developed and produce Zoom Uphill, has registered and CE-marked Zoom Uphill as a class I medical device according to the medical device regulation (EU)2017/745 (MDR) type C. Zoom Uphill is registered since January 2021 by the Swedish notified body The Swedish Medical Products Agency. The Zoom has been assigned ISO-code 12.23.03 which stands for an electrical wheelchair with manual steering.
Yes, MTR in Hong Kong support the usage of wheelchairs. MTR has a hotline support number to call for support if needed.
Zoom Uphill is designed to drive off-road , up and down hills. Hong Kong authority approves the use of an electric power wheelchairs off-road. You can drive on the sidewalks, as long as you drive safe. You are not allowed to drive on the road for cars. The rules for parking in Hong Kong is very generous for electric power wheelchairs. You can park your Zoom Uphill in the most places as long as it safe for people to pass.
Maximum speed: 20 kph. With the Speed Selector you can reduced speed to walking speed of 5 kph or medium speed 10 kph for comfort and convenience. By reprogramming the four motors the top speed can be reduced to any number.
In the U.S. the Zoom is intended for use by an operator 16 years of age or older. Check your local regulations. In Europe children much younger are riding a Zoom Uphill.
Under optimal riding conditions on flat smooth surfaces the batteries will last up to 40 km of riding. For demanding riding in terrain, you should not expect a range above 25-30 km. Plan your riding accordingly. The batteries provide full power until they become exhausted and performance will drop relatively quickly.
Capabilities off-road include sand and snow. It easily climbs obstacles and sidewalks thanks to the patented boggy divider technology. It is suitable for use off-road, where one generally can walk without climbing. Driving in sand, snow, mud, uphill or up sidewalks is a pure pleasure. You just need to keep clear from saltwater.
There are no requirements for licence or specific trainings to drive a Zoom Uphill in Hong Kong. Zoom Uphill is registered, classified and CE marked as a medical device Class I.

Zoom Uphill is designed for the rough terrain. The uphill tipping angle is >25 degrees and the sideways tipping angle is 20 > degrees. Maximum curb height (up and down) is 10 cm.
We recommend using a helmet for your safety, but in most countries there is no law on that.
What you need to do is to have your batteries fully charged and keep the Zoom Uphill clean by swabbing it with water and a mild detergent now and then. Do not use water with hight pressure.
Our re-sellers from whom you got it are supposed to take care of after sales service during the warranty period. After that any bike or motorcycle repair shop should have the skills to take care of that. Like fixing a flat tire or fill hydraulic oil for the breaks if needed.
